Selection Process | Join PAF as GD Pilot
Here is Complete Selection Process to Join PAF as GD Pilot.
- First of all you will have to apply Online of PAF Website.
- Every year 2 Inductions announced, 1st in Mar-April and 2nd in August – September.
- You will Appear in Initial Test at Pakistan Air Force Selection Centers.
- After Clearing Initial Test, You will undergo Initial Medical Examination.
- After that you will be called for Physical Exam at PAF Selection Centers.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Initial Interviews.
- Final and Most Important step will be ISSB.
- After ISSB Recommendations, you will undergo Flying Aptitude Test.
- After Clearing Flying Aptitude Test you will undergo final Medical Examination at Nearby CMH Hospital.
GD Pilot Course Eligibility
A candidate has to fulfill the below-mentioned criteria to Join PAF as GD Pilot.
- Age: A candidate age 16-22 years can apply for the GDP course 2024.
- Nationality: Male and Female Citizen of Pakistan.
- Height and Weight: Minimum height of a candidate is 5 feet and 4 inches and the weight as per Body Mass Index (BMI).
- Marital Status: Only Unmarried can apply for GDP Course 2024.
- Vision: The vision of a candidate must have 6/6 in each eye (without glasses).
- Training Period: 3 years of education and training at Risalpur
- Educational Qualification: candidate must have pass with minimum 60% marks in any one of the following
- FSc (pre-engineering)
- FSc (Pre-Medical)
- A’Level with subject Physics and (Math or Biology)
- FSc/ICS (Computer Science)
- FSc with Physics and any other two subjects from ( Maths, Stat, Computer Science, Biology)
GD Pilot Initial Test will be Computerized Test. This Test Contains 2 Portion. 1st will be Intelligence Test including Verbal Intelligence and Non Verbal Intelligence MCQS. 2nd Portion will be Academic Test , having Physics, English MCQS
Educational Qualification for Join PAF as GD Pilot
- A candidate must have passed with at least 65% marks in aggregate in any of the followings:
- (Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical/Computer Science)
- A ‘Level with Physics and Mathematics or Biology
- With Physics and any other two subjects, i.e. Maths, Stat, Computer Science, and Biology, after completing pre-medical, ICS or computer science students could apply for this post but scoring 60% is a must.
- Induction is done two times a year, one in Feb-Mar for the GD Pilot, and the next ad will be posted in June-July, this time for men only.
- A permanent commission is available for male applicants only, and the short service commission is for female applicants.
- After passing the test 2-year training as a cadet and 2-year training as a pilot officer will give in PAF Risalpur. After completing the session, a 4-year degree in Air Management BS Aviation Sciences and Management will be awarded by AIR University ISL .
- If you want to apply in 157th GDP Batch or 158th GDP Batch, you must fulfil this Criteria to Join PAF as GD Pilot.
Ineligibility Conditions For PAF GDP Course
If you are interested to Join PAF as GD Pilot you must know about ineligibility conditions for this intake. A candidate will not be eligible for the PAF GD Pilot course under the following circumstances
- A candidate was twice rejected by Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB).
- Candidate Twice screened out by ISSB.
- A candidate Dismissed, Removed, or Debarred from any Govt Services.
- A candidate who Tested within 120 days (four months) gap of the previous appearance in ISSB.
- Dismissed/ Removed/ Debarred from Armed Forces, PAK Army, Navy, or PAF.
- Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offense (to be ascertained by the competent military authority).
- Permanently UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
- The Candidate who has withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college or Armed Forces institution on disciplinary grounds.
- Those who withdraw, discharged, resigned, or purchase commission from any Armed Forces officers Academy & Armed Forces Training Institution on any ground.
NOTE:- Vision must be 6/6 on each eye without glasses. The candidate with eyesight other then 6/6 (without glasses) will be declared unfit in initial medical at PAF Information & selection centers.
Documents Required to Apply as GD Pilot
The required documents to Join PAF as GD Pilot are:
- Original documents of Matric/ICS/FSc or Equivalent, matric Mark Sheet.
- Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for the age of 18 years and above.
- A computerized B-form with Guardian’s CNIC (Father or Mother) for under 18 candidates is necessary.
- One set of all attested photocopies of the above-mentioned documents.
- 3x Passport size colored photos attested (front and back) by Principal, Class-1 Gazetted Officer.
- For the repeated candidates, an original along with one photocopy of the not recommended letter of ISSB is necessary.
