Army Nurse Salary | Uniform | Jobs Benefits
- During Studies 4 years at Nursing College, Cadets receive monthly stipend of 50,000 Rupees.
- Salary of Army Nursing Officers start from 78,000 Rupees up to 85,000 Rupees after Degree Completion with other Benefits of Pakistan Army, including free Mess, Free Residence in Army Quarters/Hostels.
- Uniform of officers is of 2 Types . One is Field Nurses, serving in Wards and Clinical Setup in all CMH Hospitals, their Uniform is Khaki Pent Shirt and Green Caps. 2nd Type is Armed Forces Nursing Services Officers are Admin Officers ,who work in Admin Departments of Ministry Hospitals They wear Khaki Sarhi Uniform same like Female Captain Doctors with Green Caps, while Captain Doctor wear red Caps.

Steps For Selection of officers:
- Apply for Armed Forces Nursing Services Posts (Online or Visit Army Selection Center)
- Initial Test (Written Test, Academic+ Intelligence Test).
- Initial Medical Exam at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers ASRC.
- Interviews for Shortlisted Candidates.
- Final Medical Exam at Nearby CMH Hospitals.
- Final Selection , and Then Entry to Nursing Colleges at desired CMH Hospitals.
Online Registration Process for Armed Forces Nursing Service
- Girls Can apply in AFNS, Online through Join Pak Army official website or visit Army Selection Centers in Cantt Areas of big Cities.
- Fill out the Online form and Submit it.
- You can download Exam Slip (Roll No Slip) after 4-5 days.
- You will have to print out that Exam Slip and Go to Army Selection Center at your Test Day.
Initial Test Format:
Armed Forces Nursing Services Initial Test will be Computerized Test held at ASRC.This Test Contains 2 Portion. 1st will be Intelligence Test including Verbal Intelligence and Non Verbal Intelligence MCQS. 2nd Portion will be Academic Test , having Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English & General Knowledge MCQS
AFNS Further Selection Process?
Those Candidates who pass the Initial Test of Armed Forces Nursing Services AFNS Tests, they will undergo initial Medical Examination to Check all the Body Requirements according to Pakistani Army Standards. after Clearance of Initial Medical Exam. Call up Letters will be Issued for Interviews. Interviews will be Held Army Stations by GHQ Selection Board. Recommended Candidates in Interviews will undergo Final Medical Exam at near by CMH Hospitals. Final Selection will be made on Overall Performance.
Academic Training of AFNS Cadets.
After passing the interview, the fresher BSc Nursing students will get the opportunity to do 4 years BSN training program at following Army Stations.

- CMH Lahore
- CMH Kharian
- CMH Quetta and PNS Shifa Karachi
Selected Candidates will sign the Bond to Serve the Pakistan Army for Minimum Period of 10 Years. Finally Selected Candidates will Receive 50,000 Rupees Monthly Stipend and Complete Education will be Free.
Documents Required to Apply?
Candidates will Submit following documents :-
- Original Result Cards of Matric/FSc (also) two attested photocopies of each educational certificate.
- Attested photocopy of domicile.
- Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card
- 3 x Coloured photos duly attested (front & back)
- Crossed postal order of Rs. 100/- in favour of Director General Personnel
Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi. - Note: Old National Identity Card will not be accepted.
Who is Not Eligible for AFNS?
To make this Selection process transparent , Army has set some Basic Eligibility criteria to enter in AFNS Exams. All Candidates must have fulfil it, if you doesn’t fulfil this criteria , You can no longer be eligible to apply in AFNS. Here is given some Ineligibility conditions for Armed Forces Nursing Services.
- The candidate who has been rejected by the General Headquarter twice, cannot apply again to Join Pak Army as Armed Forces Nursing Services (AFNS).
- The candidate who has declared medically unfit by the Appeal Medical Board cannot apply in Pak Army.
- The candidate who has the previous record of involving in any offensive, unofficial or illegal activity by the court.
- The candidates who have resigned or withdrawn from any Armed Forces or declared weak or unsuited can also not apply.
- The candidate who has been dismissed from any government service sector can also not apply in Pak Army.
- The fresh candidates who are already registered from PNC can also not apply.
